Active Ankles for Women?

Postby Tanya on Tue Jul 14, 2009 8:31 am

Question for the VB Community:

I have been involved in indoor competitions for years but have a problem with weak ankles from numerous sprains. I do not see women wearing ankle supports such as Active Ankles as men often do. Have other women found ways to deal with the problem?

Thanks,

Tanya

Tanya:

I have used the Malleoloc ankle supports for several years post ankle injury. I tried active ankles, but did not like the feel. The Malleoloc supports wrap the ankle, are light weight and are comfortable overall. Since wearing them I have had no ankle problems in play. They are available from a variety of vendors on line including: http://www.activeforever.com/p-1534-bau ... awodxRNj5A .

Hope this helps,
Ilse

Thank you, Ilse, for the response. I didn't like the idea of a bulky device in my shoe. The Malleoloc looks great. I am going to give it a try. Thanks again. ~Tanya
