New beach volleyball tournament Policy for 2010

Postby row on Thu Oct 29, 2009 6:32 pm

Hi Everyone,
I just received this email from Jill Bates at Santa Cruz Parks and Rec, with the new beach volleyball tournament rental policy for 2010.
They are limiting tournaments to Saturdays only, this is great news for the public to have Sundays set aside for play on weekends.
It was a lot of work, but we did it. I would like to thank everyone who send in emails to the Santa Cruz city counsel and the Santa Cruz Parks and Rec, your emails made a big difference.
I will be sending thank-you's to the staff at The Santa Cruz Parks and I would encourage everyone else to do the same, Please show your appreciation. Contact info at the bottom of this email.
See you all at the beach

Rowland

Rowland,

#7 in the Use Policy says "Tournaments are limited to Saturdays only on weekends from Memorial Day to Labor Day."

So there will be no tournaments except during the summer?

Jessica,

Saturday tournaments are allowed all year round, generally, after Phil's last tournament in Nov [ Saturday, Nov 7] there won't be any tournaments until spring time.

Hi Jessi,

The wording is a bit confusing. It just means that tournaments can be scheduled all times of the year, but during summer only Saturdays can be booked. This is so Sundays are open to the public during the peak months.

Hope this clears up your question.
