New AVP net violation question

Postby jimmcnamee on Sat Oct 24, 2009 8:30 am

NOTE: This was also sent to the THAMS email group....

Well, the latest additive to questions about contact at the net is: The AVP now only calls net violations for contact at the top of the net.

Question #1: Does anyone know the rule change this is referencing?

Question #2: Is there any forecast, assuming there IS a net rule change, that this might be adopted by CBVA in 2010, or...?

Well just when you think it can't get any more subjective, you are now going to ask the refs to watch for just the nets that happen at the top of the tape????
Come on..... a net is a net is Anette Funachello! (that might be a very "dated" reference to a brunette bombshell that played opposite to Frankie Avalon in all the Beach Blanket Bingo movies of the 1960's Sorry...some of you might not have been born in the 1960's!)
I just attended the CBVA yearly meeting and there was no discussion regarding this rule change affecting the CBVA events in the 2010 season.
I just can't imagine all the arguments that this would bring up on any given day at Main Street Beach..
"Call your nets" The Karma Police are watching YOU!! mhullo :ugeek:
